2020 MTV EMAs: Master KG beats Burna Boy, Rema, others to win ‘Best African Act’ award

South African singer Master KG has been named ‘ Best African Act’ at the 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards(EMAs) following the continued international success of his hit song “Jerusalema” featuring fellow artist Nomcebo Zikode.

Master KG beats  fellow SA artiste DJ Maphorisa and Kabza de Small, Nigeria’s Burna Boy, Rema, Uganda’s songstress Sheebah and Gaz Mawete of the DRC to pick up the Best African Act Award at the recently held MTV EMAs.

The singer who was full of excitement took to social media to thank his fans for their love and support.

“I would love to thank each and every person out there, all over the world, for making this possible. I would love to thank my sister (collaborator Nomcebo Zikode), my team at Open Mic Productions. Everyone who is behind Master KG, thank you guys so much! To my fans all around the world, without you I don’t think this would be possible.”
